Note: If you're not incredibly amused by the immodest title Supreme Word Goddess of the Universe, we probably won't be working together.

Overview

I'm an applied sociologist with research, editorial and marketing communications experience in various industries. Since 1990, I've focused on health and wellness issues, especially the social construction of health status and criteria for healthcare delivery. Lately, I seem to be making a career out of teaching practical and prudent ways to use social media.

Skill

Using my doctoral-level sociological training and imagination to clarify the big picture and identify target audiences.

Passion

Deploying social media and digital solutions to improve patient education and healthcare outcomes. You can count on me telling you when it makes absolutely no sense to mess around with Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube.

Talent

Translating complex, jargon-heavy, dense healthcare information into reader-friendly content for healthcare consumers, providers, and payors. I write, edit, and rewrite text so it flows.

{Not healthcare related but so what? Enjoy the content on this swanky website and this audio-visual delight.}

Contact me now because you . . .

  • want a fresh point-of-view, especially when it comes to digital platforms that establish your cred, deliver information and build community.
  • have great ideas but don't know how to convey them.
  • want to know more about my skill, passion, and talent.

Terms of Engagement

It's the 21st century, so I work primarily from my home office. There, I can focus on your project instead of complaining about your fluorescent lighting. Fees are project-based. For strategy development and on-going consultation, retainer agreements always seem to work best.

I participate in the healthcare social media (#hcsm),

healthcare marketing (#hcmktg), and

hospice palliative medicine (#hpm) communities on Twitter.
